Rated games should be with random color mandatory. It is not right that people can choose to give themselves an unfair advantage when playing rated games by choosing to play white all the time.
It is true that you can choose not to play people like that, but not all people do this and there is no reason why there should be a way for them to gain an unfair advantage.
Having the color be random when choosing to play rated would be a better option, I think.
