The guy at correspondence chess site Scheming Mind has implemented (or plugged in?) many variants. One I enjoy playing is
All Queens: it's simply that other than the king and pawns - which are distributed and function normally - the other 7 pieces (per side) are all queens.
I can only guess it's not a huge amount of work to implement (and less than Crazyhouse etc.), so if you readers like the idea - or don't - please comment.
