Breaking the Silence

> So, a handful of incidents means you are no longer supporting chess in one of the largest countries in the world by population, the US. My guess is that many other Federations are worse. This is simply anti-Americanism. And yes, not supporting the USCF will onlydo more harm to girls.

You can still play on Lichess if you are from the US, the USCF and SLCC will just not be receiving official support and coverage/advertisement from Lichess (like it says in the article). Deflecting to other federations and speculating is not gonna solve anything.
They aren't even Americans. Why don't you punish the Federations where they learned this behavior?

Both these people learned this behavior in other countries, playing for entirely different Federations. Neither is a natural born citizen. Punish those Federations too: The ones where they picked up these terrible behaviors. You are punishing the US for having a more open immigration policy than other countries.

It is absurd to punish a whole Federation for the actions of two people. This is anti-American prejudice. Russia invades a country and kills hundreds of thousands and Lichess does nothing. But two dirty grandmasters come to America, and the USCF investigates both with due process and fairness, and you shun the entire Federation. Lichess amd everyone who supports this is being absurd.

This has nothing to do with which country/federation they came from. Lichess won't be cooperating with the USCF and SLCC not because they happened to have two people who did some very bad things, but because they handled the situation poorly.

Why did none of these women CONTACT THE POLICE? You see, when someone sexually assaults someone, that is a problem for THE POLICE? The USCF was absolutely correct not to accept jurisdiction---as they could be found liable for slander in court. If someone assaults you, you have to contact the police. That is how the law works.

Except when the law doesn't work and calling the police just gets someone killed, or the cops victim-blame and support the predator.

The USCF handled this correctly. These incidents are matters for the government to handle. That is how law works.

Your remarks make no sense, If these men represented a threat to their lives, that is more reason to go to the police, not less. And they would still have plenty of reason to become violent if they lost their livelihoods. Your assumption that police "support the predator" is beyond absurd. You have no understand of or experience with the US justice system.
