Anyone else think the selection of piece sets is a major flaw of this site? All the sets apart from the first two look silly (weird mohican manes on the knights etc etc) or inept, and the first two are not aesthetically pleasing, they're just serviceable. How about an elegant Staunton set, like the ones we used to play on at school? The 3D pieces are aesthetic, but overlap and obscure too much of each other to be considered for live play.
Most of the pieces that other websites have, are copy righted.

@scuffi The bishops are dollops. Not so much designed, as mashed potato dolloped from a spoon. This may or may not be an objection to you.
Cardinal and Fresca look interesting, aside from the first two, these are also good.
I suppose Fresca isn't the most abominable chess set in the world. That would be Reillycraig, with queens like bat wings, rooks like urns with ramparts, bishops like ostrich eggs and the weirdly happy knights. As for the king [redacted]
I actually personally don't like the outlines Lichess pieces and some of them are too artistic.
This set is aesthetic but completely ruined by the white knight's beak. WHY?!?!?! I just want an attractive, elegant chess set, not some ludicrous "modernist" blobs of mashed potato. Why is it so much to ask?
