Suggestions for refund from Chess.com?

1 year ago I signed up with Chess.com and paid $120 for a Diamond membership.
I quickly found out about Lichess and stopped using Chess.com.
I just received notice that my membership was automatically renewed and I was charged another $120.
Within an hour of receiving that notice I cancelled my membership (I hope) and used their website to request a refund.
I did receive a response from “support” that they were “looking into it” but given how sleazy they have been I’m guessing they will not respond further.
Does anyone know of a good tactic to get their attention and then get an expedited refund?
Thanks very much,
Jeff
Yes. You can design a Time Machine go back in time and apply your lips to Renchs behind. Anything less then that is going to fail misseably.
Your cash is probably gone. $120 per month or whatever it is, for a CHESS website, is crazy.
$120 per year I assume, which might still be too much but if you can afford it it's fine.

As usual, the fact that they make money out of their business is not bad per se, it's how they spend and/or invest it that might be questionable.

As per your question, I'd wait a couple days for their email reply and in the meantime or afterwards you can make a thread in their forum.
I don't know how you've made the payment. I usually use my credit card when making online payments. Sometimes, if you contact your card provider, they can block and refund the transaction if you contact with them. At least that's how it was for me. Don't wait too long if you try this.
If the contract was not terminated on time, one can only hope that the contractual partner is accommodating and refunds the money. I don't think you would have a right to repayment in this case. I'm sorry for you. But I would definitely make a polite request.
what crooks! I honestly hope that a man like Elon Musk will go and buy a site like this green one, it would be more useful if he did his Xchess there, that way everyone will come to us!
if you got it for another year i would download all the videos, lessons you can , and watch them at your leisure
The latest update is that I received an email that my request for a refund was issued. I have yet to see it on my statement but it sounds promising.
Thanks for all your advice.
I think I owe chess.com an apology.
