Bug report

Hello, I just had a look at the game lichess.org/FMiu7r3V/white#1 and noticed that black - according to the computer analysis - had some big advantage in between. Alas, when playing the game move by move, that seems not to have been the case, in fact white seems to have been (much) better all the game ? Regards, Knud

Hm, I'm sorry, but I don't get that. I mean, starting with the move 5...Ne8, the sign of the eval switches from plus to minus, and then back again with 14.g3, as is also visible in the graph of the eval. But the position more or less remains like around +1.5 for white all the time ?
@JohnMiller
what happens is the server analyses the game using stockfish14 and if it finds a mistake it flags it but it does not go into great depth when doing game analyses thats why in situations like this or a famous example is the traxler the game analyses might make a mistake there is not much lichess can do about it expect make the server analyses go to a greater depth the problem is that would increase load to the server and might not really fix the problem.

also this topic had the same question

(also thats one for engine evaluation form post come on i am slow close to bingo)
Ah, ok, I see, so just a classical 'horizon effect'. Thank you.
Hello, only the pixelated theme chess pieces are visible all others are glitched out in the mobile app as well as in the website when I'm using my mobile phone. Please fix this bug.
