Good plays against Ruy Lopez

I play somebody at my school library almost every morning, and he almost always plays the Ruy Lopez routine (sometimes goes for Italian). Anybody have some fun interesting plays for black against the Ruy Lopez?
Another fun variation is the modern Steinitz with Bg4
IE: 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 a6 4. Ba4 d6 5. 0-0 Bg4 the idea is 6. h3?! h5 with compensation.
I have fond memories of it, playing it in a blitz game during a bye in my first tournament back in 2005 against the top seed (2450 vs my 1100). He went into the above line then thought for about a minute. Had a decent position but I lost on time. Still, that game gave me a heap of confidence against higher rated players.
Okay, looking at the above line I recommended as fun the ?! is misplaced.
h3 is fine, but if 7. hxg4 then black gets good compensation. Regardless, it's a fun line and helped me cut down on theory when I was starting out.
Thanks, I've beaten him twice today (although he went with Italian)! I'll do Steinitz next time I come to the Ruy Lopez!
