Maybe stop leaving games or letting time run out
That happened to me a lot of times.
It's called "never surrender" like in never give up and always try your best, not "never resign"!
Did you get timed out for not resigning? I don't think that's possible...
If however you purposedly wasted your opponent's time by letting your clock run, then you deserve the time out.
