Worst opening?

Hi @pafchess Thanks for your answer. I googled the same about the Botez gambit. But what are the concrete moves of it? How did Alexandra Botez lose (sacrifice) her Queen?
Gambits aren't openings. The Old Benoni is the worst opening known to man. it loses.

Tht's why there is a modern version
The worst opening... I would need a free software that would sort the moves from best to worse.

So, by using only Lichess analysis (Stockfish 14+NNUE, Ram 16MB, CPU's 1)
What I should have done is play with the threads and ram on ever move. So that the Black engine gets max threads and memory and white the least, but it was to much tweaking with the settings every move. That would be easier doing the game on my computer. Anyways, I picked the analysis best move line "5" for White and best move line "1" for Black. Max analysis Depth 22 or when cloud was available.

So in theory, Black should win this game by the picking order of the best analysis lines and the constantly picking the least best of the 5 choices for White.

The very worse opening is a help mate. So I'm assuming that was not what you wanted: @yxwqy
I used an old computer, so it took time to get this game played out. Please take the time to look at the worst (amongst the best) openings. Give a comment about it.

Note it started with 1.c4 c5! 2. e4 Nc6! and ends in 22 moves.
Black was always playing the best engine responses ! And White was always playing the best of the 5th analysis line. Some white moves ended up being blunders. So the English opening is not White's best to start with. According to this style of analysis, it's the worst of the best.

Looks like it has the stonewall pawn formation. Black played their best moves and it still blocked the opening. For white it played it's worst of the best moves and still made the stonewall formation. So blocking the center for white is the worst thing to do. The inverse would mean the best thing for white would be to play an open game, with an opened up center. For black the best thing in the opening is to lock up the center. Obviously in the middle game it does not remain locked up.

1. c4 c5 2. e4 Nc6 3. Nf3 e5 4. h3 d6 5. d3 Nge7 6. Be2 g6 7. Bg5 Bg7 8. h4 h5 9. Bd2 O-O 10. Na3 a6 11. Rb1 Nd4 12. O-O Nxe2+ 13. Kh2 Nf4 14. d4 cxd4 15. Bxf4 exf4 16. Kg1 Nc6 17. c5 Bg4 18. b4 Ne5 19. Qc1 Bxf3 20. g3 Qd7 21. Qd1 Qh3 22. gxf4 Qh1#
